No pressure, dear VAT law

Social welfare minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed has advised people to earn VAT for the development of the state.

He said, the pressure on anyone can not earn the desired VAT. In order to convince people in love, you have to collect VAT. For this, customs, excise and VAT officials will have to mix with the people. People should be encouraged to pay VAT.

The minister said this while addressing the National Vat Day at Rangpur Zilla Parishad Community Center Auditorium on Tuesday (December 7th).

The Customs, Excise and VAT Commissionerate of the National Board of Revenue organized the event.

Speaking to the chief guest, Nuruzzaman Ahmed said that the Prime Minister is dedicated to the country. We are working to make Bangladesh a better country in the world. Like Bangabandhu Sheikh Hasina dreamed and implemented for the people of the country. We have to practice giving VAT to sustain the fear of development of the country.

Rangpur Divisional Commissioner KM Tariqul Islam, Member of the National Board of Revenue (International Taxes) Hafiz Ahmed Murshed, Rangpur Taxes Commissioner Abdul Latif, Rangpur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Abdul Alim Mohmand Mohfarm Mohfood, Rompur Divisional Commissioner Chowdhury Tattoo. Shawkat Ali Saadi, Commissioner of Customs, Excise and VAT Commissioner Rangpur chaired the meeting.

The guests said that the businessmen paid consumers VAT. This is why consumers need to be aware. The government is not deprived of VAT. Revenue growth means development. Therefore, everyone should pay VAT properly.

At the end of the discussion, a certificate of honor and crest was given to the 8 highest paying highest paying institutions of the eight districts of Rangpur Division. Among them, Maya Biri of Harragachh of Rangpur district, Walton Plaza of Station Road Life Insurance Building and RDRS Guest House in Radhaballab area were honored as the highest VAT paying institutions.

Meanwhile, on the occasion of the day, a colorful procession came out of the Customs, Excise and VAT Commissionerate offices on the central road of the city at around 10:30 am and circled the main road.
